In recent years,education service plays a more and more important role in prompting the economic developments,the trade of education service has become an essential part of trading industry.With the growing amount and scales of China's education service trade,the trade deficit of education service is escalating year by year,especially US as the largest trade deficit country.Therefore,the article analyzes the reasons and coping strategy of the trade deficit of Sino-US education service.To observe the status quo of the education service development in Sino-US,and find out that China's import growth amount in education services surpasses that of the export,China is the largest exporting country of education service for US,but it has accounted for a small portion in the international market;on the contrary,the education service of US has a larger share in the international market,which absolutely means a more influential capacity and scale.Based on the analysis above,combine with the comparison advantages of education service market and the trade theory as the diamond theory,this article analyzes the cases from the perspective of the trade deficit of Sino-US education service: using the diamond theory,to further divide the 5 elements which could influence the trade deficit into 26 indicators by adopting the relative statistics in 2001 to 2018,meanwhile to examine the result applying stepwise regression analysis.The result indicates that the fundamental reason for the trade deficit of China's education service is the lack of competitive capacity,mainly the capacity in education supply and quality which includes: education budget,teaching resources and so on,all those are the advantages of American education industry,with the growing incomes of Chinese citizens,it is difficult for China to meet the massive and demanding needs in the domestic education market,that is to say China is insufficient and inferior in education resources,not adequate education budget leads to the lower level in education quality,also causes the trade deficit of Sino-US education service in great amounts,and China rarely benefits from the ample domestic market and the open international market.On the whole,the reasons which cause the trade deficit of Sino-US education service includes: in the aspect of production-Us is more influential in economics and culture and it has a more competitive capacity in education supply and quality;in the aspect of needs,China is not very competitive in education resources and education quality,and it is not capable to meet the needs for high quality education in the context of growing economics.Both those factors,it not only causes China's importing in great amounts of education service from US,but also causes the China's replying on US education industry,the outflow of talents and the input at initiative stage,it hinders the development of China's education industry and the influences in international academics and furthermore restricts the expanding in the education exporting,also leads further the trade deficit.Therefore,the proposals are made in this article: to have some more supportive education policies from the aspects of government,increase the financial input in education,optimize the usage of education budget,prompt the development of China's education,expand the team of teachers,enhance the education quality,combine the relative talent policy and introduce talents from oversea,boost the development of education industry,to eventually reduce China's replying on the importing of US education from the aspect of education capacity,increase the exporting to US and cut down the trade deficit of Sino-US education service.
