The internationalization of universities is an important content and a process necessary for Double-First-Class construction.Analyzing the internationalization status of Double-First-Class universities in northwest China and providing them with the international construction plan and path for reference,which undoubtedly helps to ensure the high-quality promotion of Double-First-Class strategy.As a typical case of the Double-First-Class construction universities in northwest China,A university has made achievements in the internationalization construction by taking the Belt and Road initiative and taking the Double-First-Class construction as the strategic goal.On one hand,the brand building of international students education in China has achieved initial results;Advantageous and characteristic disciplines service the Belt and Road initiative has a great response,and especially national and regional research has become a new growth point.On the other hand,its international construction has many characteristics: diversified management forms,independent and efficient;International strategy is based on planning and integrated into planning;The content of internationalization strategy is rich and exogenous;Internationalization level from low to high,content from shallow and deep.However,in the process of internationalization,A university is confronted with some difficulties,such as lack of overall planning and collaborative linkage mechanism,the internationalization consciousness of teachers and students needs to be optimized,the level of internationalization is relatively low and the development is unbalanced,international characteristics to be condensed and highlighted and so on.Two dimensions can be used to improve the internationalization level of Double-First-Class universities in northwest China.One is the organizational strategies,they should strengthen the consciousness of internationalization,establish the concept of "internationalization at home".Especially important is that they must jump out of the "northwest consciousness",set up self-confidence.Also,improving the institutional guarantee mechanism and making overall plans for international development is so important.Another is the programe strategies: they can comprehensive resources to create an educational environment with international curriculum as the core.To serve the Belt and Road initiative as a link,highlight regional characteristics,they can actively make their voice.Make full use of the platform of overseas Confucius institutes,because it helps to expand the platform of "going out";To consolidate the country and regional research to gather effective resources for "internationalization at home".Under the background of Double-First-Class strategy and the Belt and Road initiative,it has become the mission and responsibility of universities to take a global perspective and actively serve the national strategy and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.This kind of mission and responsibility not only become the driving force of its internationalization level,but also make internationalization an inevitable requirement.Double-First-Class construction universities in northwest China should focus on the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind,based on the localization and specialization of internationalization,internalize internationalization into the power of university reform,and permeate into the historical mission of talent training and the construction of Double-First-Class.It should attach importance to cultural awareness,build confidence in its path,meet the needs of our nation and country,train talents with an international perspective and national aspirations,and give its voices to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
