The course of automatic control principle is the basic course of mechatronics technology and related majors in higher vocational colleges.According to the current situation that the learning effect of the course is poor and the result is not ideal for the students majoring in mechatronics technology in Shangluo Vocational and Technical College,we decided to develop a teaching platform of automatic control principle based on MATLAB GUI after demand investigation and analysis.With the help of control system toolbox such as LTI viewer and SISOTOOL that attached to MATLAB as well as Simulink simulation tool,we designed GUI sub interfaces with GUIDE,a graphic user interface design tool of MATLAB.The GUI sub interfaces are user-friendly and have relatively perfect functions.The design of GUI interfaces contain six modules,twelve knowledge blocks and subdivided knowledge points of automatic control principle.In the GUI sub interface of specific knowledge points,the functional buttons including knowledge introduction,operation guidance,graphics drawing,return to the upper level are also designed,while partial functions,drawing and analysis functions are embedded into the GUI sub interface through callback functions.In the design of six modules of the fourth chapter,the time domain analysis,frequency domain analysis and system correction and design are the focus.After the teaching platform was put into use,a survey was carried out in both teachers and students.Through the analysis of the feedback,it was found that students were relatively satisfied with the platform,students' interest in learning was enhanced,and the average score of the overall assessment was significantly improved.This teaching platform solved many problems in the original course teaching ofautomatic control principle.It decomposed the content of the course step by step,and then made use of each GUI sub interface to connect into a complete automatic control principle system.The platform interfaces are simple and easy to use,and using operation guidance,students will be more willing to use it.Meanwhile,the platform reserves extension interfaces in some parts such as modules,knowledge blocks and knowledge points.With its strong openness,it will provide much convenience for the continuous improvement of the platform.
