Autism is a developmental disability caused by nervous system disorders of unknown etiology.Social communication shortage is one of core symptoms of autism.The core problem of communication disability of autistic children is pragmatic barriers,which is shown as a disjunction between language form and language function.Most of autistic children have no idea of the social situation and the social usage of language,so they have special difficulty in the intraverbal development.They are in a lack of dialogue completion.They don't know how to begin and continue dialogue and they could not complete the turn and alternation.All of these must limit and damage the daily social activities of autistic children.By far,empirical study has proved that the autistic children's intraverbal ability could be improved with teaching intervention.As an intervention strategy that has been proved to be effective,discrete trial teaching is in significant effect in developing language behavior and social skills of autistic children.The study selects a 8-year-old autistic boy and a 6-year-old autistic girl for study object,trying to explore the teaching effectiveness of discrete trial teaching on improving the intraverbal behavior of autistic children.The study adapts to the design of cross subject multi detection experiment based on discrete subject experiment method.The independent variable is discrete trial teaching and the dependent variables are immediate effect,personification effect and maintenance effect of intraverbal behavior(including the answer and inquiry of a series of questions of three units,including basic information,daily life and favor).The teaching experiment is divided into three stages,including baseline,intervention and follow-up(including maintenance detection and personification detection).After the completion of experiment,researchers have visual analysis of the ability assessment data collected in all stages and build up social validity with relevant qualitative data collected in interviews.The study outcomes are shown as the follows.1.Discrete trial teaching has a better immediate effect on enhancing the intraverbal behavior of autistic children.2.Discrete trial teaching has a better maintenance effect on enhancing the intraverbal behavior of autistic children.3.Discrete trial teaching has a better personification effect on enhancing the intraverbal behavior of autistic children.,4.The teaching intervention of the study has a better social validity.Besides,researchers would have discussion on the teaching effect of intraverbal behavior of autistic children,and relevant suggestions would be raised for the future teaching and studies.
