Chemistry,linking with life tightly,is from and applied in life.In the recent years,with the new curriculum standard adopted by the government,the core of it request that chemistry teaching in secondary school must be based on students' real life.We focus on students' survival and development,to eventually bring education back to life and enable students to apply what they learn.However,there is disparity between the world and how and what is taught in chemical class in secondary school due to the pressure of entrance examinations.So it is significant to study the current situation of life-oriented teaching in secondary school under the new curriculum standard.We tried to investigate chemistry teachers from different schools and S middle school's students in AnQing for knowing about the implementation of life-oriented chemistry teaching.First,questionnaire is used to comprehend teachers' and students' understanding,attitude,acceptance,implementation status and suggestions.Then discover the stories behind the teaching by interviews and understand the real situation by class observation.Finally,analyze the survey result,we can master the current situation of chemistry life-oriented teaching in middle school.Based on the analysis of the present situation,it is concluded that there are the following deficiencies in the chemistry life-oriented teaching in middle school: the educational goal deviates from life,the teaching evaluation is simplified,the form of students' homework is unitary,the effect of teaching and the frequency of life experiment is to be improved.The reasons are manifold as follows: schools have teaching time restriction,lack of resources and evaluation system;in terms of teachers' gender,educational background,teaching experience,professional title,simple understanding of chemistry teaching in daily life,less education of teaching training,and simple teaching methods;students' lack of actual life experience and no active awareness of life.Combining the problems with the causes,the author puts forward the corresponding improvement strategies: the school implements school-enterprise resource sharing,uses the basic resource platform,improves the assessment standards,develops school-based curriculum,and enriches the library resources.Teachers should improve the concept of life-oriented teaching,create life-oriented teaching situation,enrich life-oriented teaching content,and assign life-oriented teaching assignments.Students should pay attention to life,accumulate life materials and have the courage to practice.Ultimately,this study is summarized and reflected in an attempt to provide reference for middle schools with similar problems.
