Traditional Culture Enhances National Identity

As a spiritual treasure of the Chinese nation,China's outstanding traditional culture lays a psychological foundation for the improvement of citizens' national identity.From the perspective of traditional culture,the research explored the important value of excellent traditional culture in national identity.College students were selected as subjects,and pictures,text materials,and videos were used to initiate college students' national identity.To measure the influence of their start-up under the condition of traditional culture and control on national identity and Chinese culture identity,first we present the participants with traditional cultural materials,then let them answer the questions and issue a questionnaire that can test their national identity and Chinese culture identity.This research mainly includes three studies:In the first study,the effects of traditional cultural pictures on national identity and national cultural identity are investigated experimentally.In the second study,to investigate the influence of traditional cultural materials on national identity and national cultural identity through experiments.In the third study,the effects of traditional cultural videos on national identity and cultural identity of the Chinese nation are investigated experimentally.The results are as follows:(1)There is a significant difference between the level of national identity of college students and the control group,under the conditions of the launch of traditional cultural pictures.There is a significant differences between the level of Chinese cultural identity and the control group.And Chinese cultural identity plays a mediating role between traditional culture and national identity.(2)There is a significant difference between the level of national identity of college students and the control group,under the conditions of the launch of traditional cultural writing materials.There is a significant differences between the level of Chinese cultural identity and the control group.And Chinese cultural identity plays a mediating role between traditional culture and national identity.(3)There is a significant difference between the level of national identity of college students and the control group,under the conditions of the launch of traditional cultural videos.There is a significant differences between the level of Chinese cultural identity and the control group.And Chinese cultural identity plays a mediating role between traditionalculture and national identity.In summary,under the different activating type of traditional cultures,the national identity and Chinese culture identity of college students are higher than the control group,and they all show a cultural activation effect.The experimental method was used to verify the influence of traditional and Chinese culture identity on national identity.The activation of traditional culture will affect individual national identity and Chinese culture identity.Chinese culture identity plays a part of mediating role in traditional culture and national identity;In other words,part of the effect of traditional culture on national identity comes from the In other words,part of the effect of traditional culture on national identity comes from the Chinese culture identity.
