Social Work Participation In The Correction Of Juvenile Delinquency From The Perspective Of The Comparison Between China And Scotland

With the continuous improvement of social attention to juvenile delinquency,the importance of juvenile delinquency correction continues to appear.As a special system to deal with juvenile delinquency,juvenile justice is independent from adult criminal justice because of their different value orientations and pursuits.Nowadays,as an important participant in juvenile justice,social work should give full play to its power and serve the youth group.At present,the social work of juvenile justice in China is still in continuous exploration,while the development of juvenile justice in the United States,Britain,Japan and other foreign countries has been relatively mature,in these countries and regions,social work has accumulated a lot of theoretical and practical experience in the field of juvenile delinquency correction,which is based on the national conditions of our country,which is helpful to promote the development of juvenile justice social work in our country.This paper focuses on the participation of social work in the correction of juvenile delinquency in China and Scotland,through comparative analysis,observe social work,understand social work,take the strengths of others to make up for their own weaknesses,and improve the service content of juvenile correction work in our country.strengthen the supportsystem and promote the all-round development of social work.This study is divided into four parts.The first part introduces the origin of social work participation in the field of juvenile correction,mainly from two comparative points: the needs,values and practical methods of social work participation in correction in China and Scotland.finally,through the comparison between China and Scotland,the paper analyzes the similarities and differences of social work demand,values and methods.The second part introduces the service contents of social work in the correction of juvenile delinquency.Firstly,it expounds the process of juvenile justice in China,as well as the links of social investigation,conditional non-prosecution and community correction in the process.This paper introduces the role that social work should play and the difficulties in practice.Then it introduces the process of juvenile justice in Scotland,as well as the early effective intervention,diversion system and safety care in the process.Finally,through the comparative study of their service contents,it analyzes the differences,advantages and disadvantages of the content of corrective social work between China and Scotland under different political,economic and cultural backgrounds.The third part introduces the support system of social work in the process of correction.China's support system is mainly introduced from five aspects: civil affairs,justice and other government departments,social work federation and social work education association,universities in China,social organizations and full-time departments.The support system of Scotland is mainly introduced from five aspects:Scottish Parliament,Scottish government and administrative departments,association departments and supervision departments,research institutions and national forums and professional functional departments.finally,through the comparison,it is concluded that the support system of juvenile justice social work correction in China and Scotland is different in which aspects can be used for reference.The fourth part is about the enlightenment of the Scottish experience to our country,based on the national conditions and public conditions of our country,this paper puts forward some suggestions from the aspects of perfecting legislation and system construction,defining the main responsible department and full-time department,encouragingresearch and discussion work,formulating social work industry standard guide,strengthening the function of community correction and so on.
