After decades of rapid development,the problems which the Internet is facing are also increasing.In order to solve the problem of Internet backbone network are facing,the router appears.After decades of development,up to now,the router has been formed based on full-service router NP.The new router integrated CPU and dozens of hardware coprocessors、hardware accelerators to realize "hard-Forward".It can be flexibly expanded,and has strong business support capabilities;management and development of convenient and flexible;high capability and reliability.In the trend of the network bandwidth demands' growing,the high-end routers have become an integral part of the core network transmission and forwarding,it has been widely used in education networks,government departments and other central institutions.Combined with the company's high-end router project,the thesis studied the design of line card based on the multi-core,multi-core line card contains two parts:private business processing card and business line mothercard,while is the focus of this thesis.The business line mothercard based on the multicore used the multicore processors for data forwarding,while providing wire-speed 20 G bidirectional forwarding capabilities,it offers two subslot,plug different types of sub-interfaces cards.This thesis described the overall design ideas and the detailed design of sub-module,introduces the hardware design and function of its sub-card.On this basis,analysis the printed circuit board design of the mothercard,from the stack design to layout,explained the questions which the high-speed signal may meet while designing the printed circuit board and the solution.And then,with the help of Cadence's Allegro PCB design tools,the card's PCB layout designe has been completed.Finally,use the actual mothercard to do the test and analysis the test results,verified the feasibility of the design.
