Mobile WiMAX network support VoIP(Voice Over IP)and other delay-sensitive multimedia communication services. If the switching process cannot be made good,it may cause the interrupt of communication between MS(Mobile Station)and CN(Communication Node),thus seriously affecting network Quality of Service(Quality Of Service,QoS).Therefore, how to improve the performance of handover, reducing latency and packet loss rate of handover. To achieve the fast switching of the network, becomes the key factor affecting Mobile WiMAX future business prospects.Towards problem of large Signaling and larger delay in F-HMIPv6 for mobile WiMAX network, the thesis introduces a new fast scheme named HFH(Hybrid Fast Handover,HFH)for handover.Based on algorithm of F-HMIPv6,the combination of mobile positioning with CIP and switching management with mSCTP made The original algorithm more optimizationful,HFH effectively reduces latency registration in updating home agent(HA)and establishs tunneling of signaling overhead and delay in F-HMIPv6.Secondly.Using a new DAD mechanism(F-DAD),HFH effectively settles the problem of delay in F-HMIPv6 which in configuration new transmitted address in the repeat address detection(DAD).In addition,HFH adds cache in the access router or base station, then the problem of packet-lossing because of handover in the link-layer is solved. Finally,in order to simulator in OPNET,modify and realizate module for HFH,even the accomplishing simulation experiments. The simulation results show that for mobile WiMAX networks,HFH relative F-HMIPv6 switching delay and packet lossing reduces markedly. When cross-regional(Subnets Base)handover occurs, delay of HFH shrinks by nearly 30%than the F-HMIPv6.When handover inter-domain,package lossing of HFH shrinks by around 60%than the F-HMIPv6.HFH has better handover performance.
