The Narrative Strategy Of The Feature Of Esquire

As Internet technology developing and popularing,information what with instant and brief contexts has kept flooding to readers' mind ceaselessly,which leading a trendy for complete storylines and deep reviews of reports and so as the media industry,staring the Feature Article in the face.New peak on study of the Feature Article with fast growing number of relevant research appears in domestic.According to the statistic data of CNKI,1230 articles about the Feature were publiced from 1981 to 2012,but five years later,articles about the Feature has grown massively to more than a thousand in total,which illustrates that it profoundly attracts the researchers attention in domestic and it is no longer a pratical work in media industry.In this study,25 Feature Article from 48 issues(from 2014 to 2017)of the Esquiremagazine were selected as study samples,cased on relevant research of Narrative from all aspects.Nonetheless,the Feature were analyzed from Narrative Structure,Narrative Perspective,Narrative Time and Narrative Space with Case Analysis and Textual Analysis,expecting a avaliable route for news writing practice and exploration.This study could be split into three parts as below.The first part is the introduction.The purpose is to through the generation and development of narrative theories and the development of news features and text features to comb systematically the introduction and overview to present the research background,and explains the author's writing intention and research significance of this article.At the same time,the research methods,research questions,theories and research ideas used in this paper are clarified.The second part is the main par.This part adopts the method of qualitative research,and analyzes the narrative strategy of Esquire by case study and text analysis.The author in throughout the Esquire for nearly four years,on the basis of the feature of the Esquire magazine feature in structure arrangement,the change of perspective,the deployment time and space to present the skill of analysis.The third part is thinking and summary.Through the analysis of the narrative level of Esquire magazine,the author sums up its creative techniques.
