In academic circles,the influence of media use on popular concepts and behavior is a hot topic.At the same time,there have two viewpoints: positive influence,and negative influence.This study attempts to explore whether the impact of media use on health is positive or negative in the context of health communication.This study adopts the data of China General Social Survey CGSS(2013)published by Renmin University of China and uses spss22 data analysis software to conduct descriptive statistical analysis,correlation analysis,regression analysis,and mediate effect test on the collected data.This study found that media use had positive effects on self-perceived health and healthy behaviors.However,the influence of different media on self-perceived health and healthy behaviors was different.The radio had negative effects on self-perceived health,but the magazines,television,Internet and mobile phone customization message of self-induction health has a remarkable positive influence,and on the influence degree,the highest degree in the influence of the Internet.And on the impact of health behaviors,newspapers,magazines,radio,Internet and mobile phone customization message behavior has a significant positive influence for people's health,and the influence of TV on health behavior is not significant.Newspapers have the greatest impact.In addition,the influence degree of different media on self-perceived health and health behavior,there are differences in demographic variables.In terms of age,the effect of media use on self-perceived health and healthy behaviors increases with age.On the gender level,the influence of TV on healthy behaviors in women group was significantly higher than that of male group,but the influence of Internet on healthy behaviors in male group was significantly higher than that in female group.In degree level,point of view,from the trend of the whole education level is lower,the self-induction health and health behavior is affected by the media use is,the greater the moreover health behavior,In addition,the mediating effect of mediate use on self-perceived health was not significant.The study validate the hypothesis that media use has positive effect to residents' self-perceived health and healthy behaviors,and probes into the medium of different media,and the influence of demographic factors on difference.At the end of the paper,summarized the shortcomings of this study and prospected direction of future research.
