Since the advent of transistors and integrated circuits,the IC industry which followed the Moore's Law has a rapid development.In 1990 s,System-On-Chip began to grow up.In the 21 st century,with the in-depth development of the application of embedded system,SoC technology has gradually become the mainstream of integrated circuit design.Its application field is becoming more and more extensive.It plays an important role in the fields of communication,transportation,automation,network and consumer electronics.The market competition of SoC products is becoming more and more intense.How to develop high performance,low power and low cost SoC products in the shortest time has become a hot issue that people pay more and more attention to.Based on the project of high-performance fingerprint identification chip,this paper introduces the design of SPI interface module based on specific application,and describes the integration and verification process of the IP core and the final physical implementation results in detail.In this paper,the knowledge about SoC and the technology of SoC verification are briefly introduced,and the fingerprint identification system is also explained.Then this paper describes the design and integration of the SPI interface module in detail,and introduces the SoC verification environment and the verification process.Finally,the physical implementation process and results of the chip are introduced.The work of this paper is based on the research and development of embedded SoC products.Taking SPI interface module as an example,this paper introduces the design and implementation process of IP core in SoC product development on the whole.This paper focuses on the design and verification of the SPI interface module.The module uses the AMBA 2.0 standard to realize the communication with the system,and contains the DMA handshake interface.It can improve the data transmission efficiency by DMA.The verification of this module is to integrate it into the system and verify it in the SoC environment.The verification method adopts software and hardware co-verification based on simulation platform and FPGA platform.While validating module function,it also ensures that modules can cooperate with the system.At the end of this paper,the physical implementation of the chip is introduced.Physical design and verification is an important link in chip design,which affects the performance,power and cost of the chip.Using the Design Compiler tool of Synopsys company for logical synthesis,and ICCompiler tools for the layout design and verification.The SPI interface module introduced in this paper is developed for specific applications.The internal structure is properly planned and DMA is used to improve transmission speed.While ensuring the transmission efficiency,the area and power consumption are reduced as much as possible to facilitate the overall performance improvement of the chip.This paper introduces the complete process from design to implementation of IP core,and has been successfully applied in practice.It has certain theoretical and guiding significance in the research and development of SoC products.
