With the rapid development of wireless communication technologies,user equipment and traffic of service have also increased rapidly.In order to improve the throughput of network system and the user experience,the operators have adopted low power nodes to solve the problems about coverage and capacity.NGMN and 3GPP have put forward the Self-Organizing Networks(SON)technology.After 3GPP standardize the work flow of SON,the user experience is getting better and the performance of the wireless network is improved effectively.In order to improve the user experience in the vehicle and avoid more frequent cell switching during the movement of the vehicle,this article introduces a new cell type,moving small cel s.Moving small cel s are a completely new concept to solve the problem of load overload.In the coverage of macro base stations in heterogeneous networks,the moving small cel s can be regarded as moving low power nodes.Moving small cel s can expand the cell coverage for the entire network and can increase the capacity of the entire system.Therefore,moving small cel s can be considered as an enhancement of the existing network infrastructure.In this paper,the self-configuration and self-optimization technology of SON in the moving small cel s scenario have been studied.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:1.The background of the Self-Organizing Networks technology in heterogeneous networks has been analyzed.This paper has studied the standardization progress of the SON technology and the moving small cell scenario.And it has also analyzed the possible problems of SON technology in moving small cell scenario.2.A Physical Cell Identity(PCI)al ocation algorithm and neighbor relation optimization algorithm in moving small cell scenario is proposed.Due to the unique mobility of the moving small node,its mobility model is studied,and a corresponding location prediction algorithm is proposed to enable it to discover neighboring cel s more quickly.Then,the PCI self-configuration in this scenario is considered.A neighbor optimization algorithm and PCI al ocation algorithm are proposed to solve the PCI configuration problem in the moving small cell scenario,and the proposed algorit hm can save the PCI resources and improve the overall network performance.3.An energy saving optimization algorithm for the moving small cell scenario is proposed.The algorithm is about a distributed cell selection and access control for the network energy consumption problem.The users in the moving small cel s impleme nt energy saving optimization through a new cell selection criterion and access control mechanism to avoid the situation of overload.The proposed algorithm can reduce the network energy consumption and optimize the network energy saving.
