Research On The Status And Strategy Of Reading Groups In Public Libraries In China

In recent years,the promotion of reading has gradually become one of the main tasks of public libraries,which actively promote the construction of a scholarly society by holding various activities.As a kind of reading activity that the public is willing to participate in,reading parties are favored by public libraries.More and more public libraries begin to hold reading parties to attract users to participate in reading.Since the 18 th national congress of the communist party of China advocated nationwide reading,China's reading promotion activities have been carried out in various forms and ways.A variety of reading clubs are quickly formed,the form of reading clubs are often different,for different objects.There are libraries,publishing companies,schools and individual groups that organize reading clubs.Among them,libraries are the backbone to promote the development of reading clubs.Libraries have a natural connection with books and reading.The modern reading club appeared with the birth of modern public libraries in the early 20 th century.In this paper,through Internet survey and the interview method,data statistics and analysis,understand the present stage our country the present situation of the public library reading group work,from the public library's librarians operation group and the public library service've two aspects to analyze public library group work,find the current shortcomings in the course of the public library reading group work,put forward for the existing problems after development strategy to promote the development of reading group.Problems existing in the operation of reading clubs in public libraries include: insufficient cognition of public library directors or librarians,which leads to the unsmooth operation of reading clubs in specific actions;Public libraries lack professional talents to run reading clubs and have not established professional service teams.In the publicity of the reading club,the public library has a single way of publicity,and many readers do not directly obtain the relevant information of the reading club through the public library.In view of this,this paper puts forward the development strategies for public libraries to operate reading clubs.Public libraries should organize more training on the work of reading clubs and cultivate professional talents in the operation of reading clubs.Public libraries can expand the influence of reading clubs through various channels.The existing problems of public library service reading club include: the content of public library service is less,the service provided by public library is not symmetrical with the needs of reading club,the work content of cultivating reading club is relatively simple,and the integration of reading club resources has not formed a trend.In view of this,this paper puts forward the development strategy of public library service reading clubs: public libraries should strengthen the communication with external reading clubs to provide services closer to the needs;Integrate resources,focus on communication and cooperation;In accordance with social development,the use of mathematical resources and network resources to explore new modes of cooperation;Actively foster reading clubs and encourage readers to set up their own reading clubs.
