The performance evaluation is a fundamental component of performancemanagement, also it serves as an important tool to control and guide employees;nowadays performance evaluation is widely applied in each domain and differenttypes of organization. Whether one enterprise is able to set up a practical and feasibleperformance evaluation system is of great importance in the market competition. Awell developed performance evaluation system should be able to decomposecompany's strategy, convey the strategy from senior management to regular staff, andto assure the company's goal shares high consistency with staffs.The performance evaluation system adopt by Hunan New China Life Insurance isstill at the quite backward stage, which makes the company's performancemanagement lags obviously behind the business development and the market demand,and fail to encourage staff, improve work, not mention achieve the company strategicgoal. This thesis, based on a thorough investigation to the company's performanceevaluation system, embarks from the performance evaluation's elementary theory,analyzes the company original performance evaluation system to identify theproblems. It introduces the balanced score card system, reconstructs the keyperformance indicator system and try to design an improved and scientific evaluationsystem that reflects the strategic development plan of the company. In order to makenew performance evaluation scheme the normal operation and implemented in system,resource etc for support, this paper also puts forward corresponding security measuresto ensure that the new system implementation effect.This thesis is an empirical study to the evaluation system of Hunan New ChinaLife Insurance company, which is based on the facts of the company, try to identifythe problems, and come up with resolutions.
