All sessions in the engineering construction process are filled with problems of multi-attribute decision making.Confronted with the widespread problems of multi-attribute decision making in the engineering project management,senior managers or decision makers in the related unites need to establish decision models with perfect form and solid logic,and achieve scientific,objective and reliable decisions in accordance with model calculatiols.However,with the social progress and scientific development,the scale of the decision system is expanding and the decision environment is changeable.When differences among the indexes of the alternative proposals have already been subtle,the decision makers are likely to get incomplete and uncertain decision information,which means incompleteness and uncertainty of attribute values and attribute weights.Thus,the general multi-attribute decision making problems develop into multi-attribute problerms of attribute value express to intuitionistic fuzzy sets and attribute weight incompleteness.This paper focuses on this multi-attribute decision making problems.Two simple and operation-convenient multi-attribute decision making methods are listed out:TOPSIS and VIKOR,together with respective decision-making steps as well.Based on intuitionistic fiuzzy sets theory,TOPSIS and VIKOR integrate attribute values expressed by intuitionistic fuzzy numbers and construct Mathematical Programming Model according to features of these two decision making methods,so as to solve optimal attribute weights.The TOPSIS method is the combination of existing research which based on distance measure between intuitionistic fuzzy sets of multi-attribute decision making problems with attribute weight incompleteness.So the decision result with high reliability that can be used as a feasibility criteria measure of other decision result.In addition,this paper also introduces the similarity measure between intuitionistic fuzzy sets to ffurther improve TOPSIS method.Inspired by the method for improved TOPSIS,for solve multi-attribute decision making problems with attribute value express to intuitionistic fluzzy sets and attribute weight incompleteness,based on distance measure and similarity measure between intuitionistic fuzzy sets to improved VIKOR method.In the end,this paper simulates and analyzes the steps of the two decision making methods with project examples,whose results reveal feasibility and validity of the two methods and VIKOR is better than TOPSIS on the expreesion of the risk appetite of decision makers.This paper provides two feasible and effective decision making methods,thus enriching the application of Multi-attribute Decision Making Theory in project management and related fields.
