A Study On Marcuse's Alienation Consumption Theory

As a representative of the Frankfurt School,Marcuse started from the "alienation" direction,analyzed the social problems that existed in Western countries at that time,and found out the reason of "alienated consumption".In his book "One-Dimensional Man," he analyzed the causes of the "alienated consumption".He believes that the rapid development of science and technology has alienated all areas of social life.People's "false needs" make people think.Consciousness is fully controlled,resulting in a one-dimensional degree of spiritual life and critical consciousness.It loses the negativity,criticality,and resistance of thinking.It loses its“second dimension”.The purpose of this article is to explore the importance of“second dimension” by exploring Marcuse's one-dimensional critical theory of alienation consumption,and then to arouse people's attention to “thinking” and help people gradually establish a correct outlook on life.And rational consumption concept,thus improving people's life happiness index,is conducive to the harmonious development of people and society.The dissertation is divided into four parts.The first part examines Marcuse's dissimilation consumption theory as a whole,starting from the research status at home and abroad and the research value of various aspects to elaborate the necessity of studying this issue.The second part discusses the time background and theoretical basis of Marcuse's theory of alienation consumption,fundamentally looking for the origin of Marcuse's “dissimilation” and its theoretical basis,laying the foundation for the follow-up research.In the third part,the main content of Marcuse's dissimilation consumption theory is deeply explored from the perspective of one-dimensional degree.In combing Marcuse's “One-Dimensional Man” theoretical perspective,Marcuse's dissimilation consumer thought is reviewed and analyzed.The Social Harm of "Dissimilated Consumption" and the Way to Eliminate "Alienated Consumption".The fourth part will deepen Marcuse's theory of alienation consumption,explain the thought and practical significance of Marcuse's dissimilatedconsumption theory from the perspective of theory and practice,and explore happiness in the double variation of “alienation consumption” and “better life”.The true meaning of humanity and the human realm.Through the above research,the author tries to clarify and identify the generating clues,thinking logic,connotation essence,and contemporary values of Marcuse's dissimilation consumption theory.Under the guidance of “not forgetting the original,drawing on foreign affairs and facing the future”,it is a contemporary foreign Marxist.The disciplinary construction of the study of the doctrine and the healthy development of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era will do little.
