With the implementation and implementation of the “One Belt and One Road” strategic concept,Chinese enterprises have stepped out of a new chapter in international entrepreneurship over the past few years.China's foreign investment has experienced unprecedented development, and with the development of economic liberalization and globalization,it has gone global. There will be more and more Chinese enterprises. As one of the main ways for Chinese companies to go abroad, foreign investment has always been a hot topic for scholars. This paper focuses on the location selection and investment model selection of foreign investment, compares the investment characteristics of state-owned and private enterprises in different market environments, and uses secondary data collection and empirical research to adopt the Poisson regression model and the orderly logistic regression model. The following conclusions are drawn: First,China's state-owned and private enterprises' foreign investment is directly proportional to the host country's market size and strategic asset abundance. In other words,Chinese enterprises prefer to choose the host country that has both advantages to invest;State-owned enterprises' foreign investment is directly proportional to the richness of the host country's natural resources and is not sensitive to political risks.Private enterprises prefer to choose countries with more stable political positions to invest;Third, when state-owned and private enterprises choose investment models,The control of business activities is inversely proportional to the market size of host countries, that is,in more developed markets, the more they are willing to adopt low-equity ratio investment methods;Fourth, the control of operating activities of state-owned enterprises when investing abroad and the host country's strategic asset abundance Positively proportional to private enterprises and In contrast;fifth,state-owned enterprises control of business activities and also the political stability of the host country is proportional. The theoretical contribution of this research is to simplify the internal factors that affect the choice of location and mode of choice of investment mode to the different ownership of the enterprise, while the external factors adopt the environmental factors of the host country. In the past research, the internal factors of the enterprise often include the entrepreneur's Risk preferences, corporate investment experience, etc. The reason why this article makes such a simplification is intended to explore the role of ownership in the macro-level adjustment of location choices and investment model choices, thus eliminating the internal factors of the company. The real contribution of this study is to hope that through the consolidation and discovery of Chinese enterprises' external investment activities in recent years, empirical analysis based on ownership and host country factors, the investment habits of Chinese companies will be derived and will provide reference for future investment decisions of Chinese companies.
