As one of the most important tools for enterprises to participate in global competition,Cross-border Merger and Acquisition is increasingly appearing in the internationalization activities of enterprises.Since the end of the 19 th century, there have been six major mergers and acquisitions in the world.Enterprises have continuously acquired resources, technologies and markets through mergers and acquisitions, thus improving their core competitiveness. It's been more than a decade since Chinese companies' participation in the global M&A wave.Despite the lack of M&A experience,Chinese companies' status on the world M&A stage has been increasing. At the same time,as an important factor restricting the success of mergers and acquisitions, knowledge transfer has become a research hotspot in the theoretical field.Through collating and analyzing the related literature of knowledge transfer performance in transnational mergers and acquisitions, this paper puts forward a theoretical framework of four variables, including cultural compatibility, convention compatibility, knowledge relevance and knowledge transfer performance. And under this theoretical framework, the contents of this paper are put forward:(1)cultural compatibility to transnational and The impact of purchasing knowledge transfer performance;(2)the influence of cultural compatibility on customary compatibility;(3)the influence of customary compatibility on knowledge transfer performance of transnational mergers and acquisitions;(4)the intermediary role of customary compatibility between cultural compatibility and knowledge transfer performance;(5)the influence of knowledge relevance on knowledge transfer performance of cross-border M &A;(6)knowledge correlation to customary compatibility and knowledge transfer performance.Data were obtained through questionnaire survey, and 181 effective survey data were analyzed by SPSS software. The regression analysis shows that there is a positive correlation between cultural compatibility and knowledge transfer performance in the transfer of transnational mergers and acquisitions;customary compatibility has a positive correlation with knowledge transfer performance;knowledge relevance has a positive correlation with knowledge transfer performance;cultural compatibility is positively related to knowledge integration ability;cultural compatibility and customary compatibility are positive.Correlation;customary compatibility has a partial mediating role between cultural compatibility and knowledge transfer performance;knowledge correlation plays a positive role in customary compatibility and knowledge transfer performance. The structure of this paper is as follows: chapter one describes the background, significance, research content and methods of the thesis. The second chapter reviews the related theories of transnational merger and acquisition knowledge transfer, cultural compatibility, routine compatibility and knowledge correlation. In the third chapter,by analyzing the relationship between variables, the relevant hypotheses are proposed and the theoretical model is created. The fourth chapter carries on the empirical analysis and the result discussion; The fifth chapter is the conclusion and prospect.
