The Study Of Red Tourism Industry In Yan'an In Terms Of Economics Of Tourism

In the Outline of the 13th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of the People's Republic of China promulgated by the State Council in March 2016,it proposed for the first time a major measure of "supporting the development of strategic emerging industries",making the red tourism industry an important part of such industries.This measure has provided new development opportunities for the red tourism industry of Yan'an.In this paper,a deep research was made on the development of the red tourism industry of Yan'an by referring to relevant literature and collecting a large amount of data.Firstly,with the guidance of the tourism economics related theories,a basic idea of developing red industry in Yan'an was given based on a comprehensive analysis of red tourism in terms of such six elements as(eating,lodging,means of transportation,sightseeing,shopping and entertainment).Then competitive advantage theory and comparative advantage theory were used to analyze the disadvantages and shortcomings now existing in the red tourism industry of Yan'an.The following problems were discovered,including insufficient financial support,imperfect government policies,underdeveloped tourism resources,imperfect tourism industry systems,low red tourism popularity and inconvenient transportation etc.Finally,a series of measures were put forward such as giving full play to the leading role of the government,increasing economic investment,improving the infrastructure construction and tourism industry system,developing new tourism products,and raising the popularity of red tourism.Therefore,this paper argues that Yan'an is faced with enormous challenges in the red tourism development craze.With rich red tourism resources,Yan'an must firmly grasp the opportunities and make use of its unique advantages to gain flourishing development and achieve a win-win economic and cultural development.
