Tourism has many functions, such as comprehensiveness, great potential for marketing development, strong relevance, quick growth, and the function to create new ways of life and enhance the quality of social civilization. With its developing, it is conducive to narrow the economic gap between urban and rural areas, to promote international exchanges, to promote social stability, to enrich people's spiritual life and to enhance the awareness of patriotism. Therefore, the tourism industry serves as a foundation for building a harmonious society.However, in the tourism development process, there exists a lot of disharmony things, such as, the destructive development of tourism resources, the deterioration of the ecological environment, the changes of people's morality, the imbalanced development of tourism between urban and rural areas, and so on. All of these hinder to build a harmonious society. Hence, to meet the requirements for the development of a harmonious society, we must develop the harmonious tourism.From the point of economics, this thesis explores how to construct the harmonious tourism. First, it introduces the definitions of some related terms and proposes the research hypotheses. On the one hand, it serves as a theoretical basis for constructing the harmonious tourism; on the other hand, based on the previous study the author seeks to create a new way to studying this topic. Second, it analyses the line from the harmonious tourism and economics. At last, based on the previous chapters, it analyses the main problems existing in the current development of our country's tourism industry and further explores some suggestions for constructing the harmonious tourism, which is of course the main goal of this present study.
