In the context of economic globalization, the division of global value chains has become one of the most important forms of the current international division of labor system. The formation of a global value chain not only makes the world economic integration gradually perfect, but also accelerates the process of international production integration. In order to obtain greater benefits and improve trade status in international competition, all countries gradually participate in the value chain division system and become a member of the global value chain division system. From the perspective of the industry of China's agricultural product processing industry,China has always been at a low-end position in the process of participating in the division of global value chains. The long-standing development history of agriculture and the dividends brought by the abundant labor force are gradually disappearing. The limits of science and technology have made the added value of China's agricultural products processing industry lower, and the production efficiency is not high, and it is very easy to fall into the "valuable depression." Based on the participation of China's agricultural products processing industry in the global value chain division, this paper discusses the theoretical mechanisms involved in the impact of the division of labor on the productivity of the value chain, and then conducts an empirical study on the relationship between the agricultural product processing industry's participation in the value chain division of labor and productivity. This article first analyzes from the theoretical part and puts forward the analysis conclusion of participating in the division of labor and productivity of the global value chain.Secondly, the DEA-Malmquist index method is used to calculate the total factor productivity of China's agricultural products processing industry, and the efficiency improvement and technical progress index of total factor productivity decomposition are measured.Based on this, the EU's 2016 World Input and Output Database is further utilized.(WIOD),using dynamic GMM methods, focuses on examining the impact of participation in the global value chain division on the total factor productivity of China's agricultural products processing industry. The empirical results show that: 1.Participation in the division of global value chains has a significant positive effect on the total factor productivity of the agricultural products processing industry, and has a greater impact on efficiency improvement;Second, the improvement of current technological capabilitiesdepends on the accumulation of the previous period and the accumulation of the previous period. The promotion effect is very significant;Thirdly, the industry research and development intensity and openness of the agricultural product processing industry can also effectively promote the improvement of the productivity effect.
