The rising of the inbound tourism market brings new opportunities and challenges to Guilin tourism against a background of building the international tourist resort.Because of its individualized experience,the homestay inn distinguishes itself from the traditional star-rated hotel.It has become a main accommodation choice for foreign tourists,playing an important role in improving tourism experience.However,with the rapid development of the homestay inn industry,quality problems arise.It's high time we improved the homestay inn service quality,enhanced foreign tourists' homestay inn experience and promoted the sound development of inbound tourism.Based on online reviews,the content analysis was applied to study foreign tourists' homestay inn experience.When constructing analysis categories,Antconc,a corpus software,had been used to compare homestay inn online reviews and star-rated hotel online reviews.As for "head words",the word frequency analysis and co-word network analysis were done to determine common experience attributes of both the homestay inn and the star-rated hotel.Then the keyword list for "tail words" was generated and individualized experience attributes of homestay inn were identified.What followed was establishing categories for the content analysis according to the experience attributes.After artificial coding,this study discussed differences of the homestay inn experience among different groups and found out the basic experience situation of foreign tourists.At the same time,a two-step non-parametric test was used to classify the ways in which these attributes influenced foreign tourists' homestay inn experience.It may help homestay inn managers maximize experience by making better use of limited resources.The results of the study indicated that there were not only differences but also commonalities between the homestay inn experience and the star-rated hotel experience.Foreign tourists' overall experience quality of the homestay inn in Guilin was rather high.Different groups of foreign tourists had different homestay inn experience levels.Besides,among all the homestay inn experience attributes,peripheral supporting,public facilities,entertainment facilities,environmental atmosphere,language ability and travel services were decisive attributes;characteristic activities,humanity care and room facilities were satisfier attributes;accessibility,service attitude,cleanliness,quietness,room size and layout,a variety of food and beverage,the quality of food and beverage,room rates,and other prices were dissatisfier attributes;surrounding views,availability of Internet,and food and beverage prices were neutral attributes.
