The report of the 19th National Congress explicitly pointed out that accelerating the construction of an innovation-oriented country,innovation as the primary driving force for development,has become a strategic support for the construction of a modern economic system.With the implementation of innovation-driven development strategy,regional innovation platform,as an important carrier to support innovation activities and an important part of regional innovation system,has become the foundation of national innovation system.Chang-Zhu-Tan urban agglomeration,as a key development zone and a priority development zone in the planning of national main function areas,is also a strategic key area for regional innovation and development in the central region of China.Therefore,it is of strategic significance to improve the level of regional innovation,optimize the layout of innovation space,and construct the main engine of regional innovation and development in Hunan Province and even the central part of China.Based on the theories of regional economics and innovation geography,this paper takes 64 counties and cities of Chang-Zhu-Tan urban agglomeration as the research unit,and selects the regional innovation platform in 2011 and 2016 as the basic data.Firstly,by using the techniques of average nearest neighbor distance,kernel density estimation,spatial autocorrelation and semi-variable function,this paper quantificationally analyzed and visually represented the characteristics of its general spatial distribution situation,grade distribution,spatial agglomeration and spatial heterogeneity of the regional innovation platform based on the geography perspective.Then,the influence factors of spatial differentiation are analyzed by using geographical weighted regression model in Chang-Zhu-Tan urban agglomeration,so as to reveal the degree of responsiveness of variables in space.Finally,this paper analyzed the development situation and problems of regional innovation platform construction and layout,in addition,it raised some countermeasures relating to those problems,which aims to provide a reference for scientific and rational construction of regional innovation platform,integration of regional innovation resources and coordinated development of regional innovation.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Analysis of spatial differentiation characteristics of the regional innovation platform in Chang-Zhu-Tan Urban Agglomeration.General distribution situation:The spatial distribution pattern of regional innovation platform of Chang-Zhu-Tan urban agglomeration prominently represents as the "point-pole" model and its overall distribution is uneven.The number of regional innovation platforms in Chang-Zhu-Tan urban agglomeration increased as a whole from 2011 to 2016,but the range of sparse distribution was not obvious.The distribution of the number of regional innovation platforms among different administrative units shows a strong spatial differentiation pattern that is reflected in the progressively decreased features and hierarchical diffusion in the administrative scale.Grade distribution characteristics:There are obvious regional differences in the spatial distribution of regional innovation platforms of different grade.The national regional innovation platform has form a tripod complexion development situation at three municipal districts:Changsha,Zhuzhou,Xiangtan;the provincial regional innovation platform is characterized by"3+5" centralised and decentralised distribution patterns.In addition,the number of national and provincial regional innovation platforms among the administrative units both increased.The increasing range in provincial innovation platform number was significantly higher than in the number of national.What's more,the regional innovation platforms at the national and provincial levels are distributed as a typical "pyramid"structure in terms of regional quantity distribution.Spatial agglomeration characteristics:There are obvious differences in agglomeration scale and agglomeration intensity among different levels and regions.In the spatial position,the number of regional innovation platforms among the points and among different administrative units is significantly distributed,among which,the degree of inter-point agglomeration of provincial innovation platfom is stronger than that of state-level innovation platform.The main dense distribution area of the regional innovation platfom changed from "binucleate" to "multi-core"spatial structure model during the period of 2011 to 2016.The cold hot spot pattern indicates that the number of regional innovation platforms in different administrative units is polarized and strengthened in space.Spatial heterogeneity characteristics:The spatial semi-variation function and its parameters of the regional innovation platform of Chang-Zhu-Tan urban agglomeration showed a decreasing trend during the period from 2011 to 2016;and the degree of spatial heterogeneity caused by structural factors and uncertain random factors was weakened.The spatial heterogeneity in the east-west direction of each sub-dimension is strengthened,which is consistent with the actual distribution pattern of "east strong west weak".The spatial agglomeration trend of the regional innovation platform based on the main municipal districts of Chang-Zhu-Tan city has been further strengthened.(2)Analysis of influencing factors of spatial differentiation of regional innovation platform in Chang-Zhu-Tan urban agglomeration.Many factors,like the economic development,the industrial development situation,the human capital investment,the regional innovation investment and urbanization development,all have positive driving effect on the construction and layout of regional innovation platform.Each different driving factor has different influence on different regions:on one hand,it shows obvious core-edge structure in its spatial features;on the other hand,there also exists a adjacency effect.
