The FDI Mode Analysis And Case Study Of The Chinese Enterprises In The Belt And Road Initiative

With the development of China's economy into a "new normal",deepening the structural reform of the supply side,the strategy of "Going Out" has made obvious results and international capacity cooperation has been strengthened,based on the profound analysis of the domestic and international situation,China formally proposed The Belt and Road,namely Silk Road Economic Belt and Twenty-first Century Maritime Silk Road Initiative in 2013,aimed at using the Ancient Silk Road and Maritime Silk Road played an important role in the economic,political and cultural exchanges between the East and the West to giving them a new meaning in the new historical period.There has been a period of time for Chinese enterprises to carry out direct overseas investment activities,but investment in The Belt and Road countries is till at the start stage.This paper uses the case study method,contrastive analysis and literature research method,focuses on the Chinese enterprises' selection of different FDI modes in The Belt and Road countries,first introduces "The Belt and Road"initiative communication policy,facilities unicom policy,trade unimpeded policy,financing policy and the common heart of the people policy,outline the mode of foreign direct investment and its choice theory,and on the basis of analyzing the overall situation of China's enterprises investment in the countries along the line,the first 64 countries were divided into 5 regions according to their geographical location,summed up the investment in various regions,the main investment in host countries,key investment areas and specific investment projects.At the same time,by reading a large number of cases,this paper classifies the Chinese enterprise's FDI modes as Public-Private Partnership,Sino-foreign Joint Venture,Cross-border Merger&Acquisition and Overseas Economic and Trade Cooperation Area(OETCA),the connotation,characteristics,advantages and disadvantages of different models and the main reasons and the main problems and risks faced by Chinese enterprises in selecting various models are compared,the investment data of Chinese enterprises under various modes are sorted out and the corresponding typical cases are selected for each model in the countries along the line.At the end of the article,this paper refined the lessons in order to Chinese enterprises to carry out foreign direct investment mode in the "The Belt and Road" countries put forward feasible suggestions for selection from different levels.
