Under the influence of the deepening reform on the overall interest rate market in our country,the inter-bank business has become the important interest growth point of the bank with its lower capital ratio,huge market capacity,relatively controllable risk level and diversified cooperation platform,which can keep pace with the traditional business.Therefore,formulating a feasible development strategy to guide the development of business is helpful for commercial banks to achieve the goal of low cost,low risk,large scale,high income and stable operation.MS bank Zhengzhou branch is a typical joint-stock commercial bank in Zhengzhou.In the year of 2012,the bank has formally established the inter-bank business department,which also achieved great growth in a short period,especially in the innovation and application of products,the accumulation and expansion of customers,the contribution and efficiency of profit making.However,with the intensification of local market competition and the external supervision,the development of inter-bank business is facing a series of bottlenecks.Under this condition,what kind of strategy can be adopted to effectively promote the benign development of MS Bank Zhengzhou branch and gain advantages in the fierce market competition,has become an urgent problem for the inter-bank business of the Bank.This paper,based on the MS bank Zhengzhou branch,carries out a strategic study on the inter-bank business development of it.The main research methods and processes are as following,first,setting forth the concept,types,history and present situation of inter-bank business in our country's commercial banks,The external environment of MS bank Zhengzhou branch's business is analyzed from the aspects of policy and law environment,economic environment,competition environment and customer demands,and the internal operation of MS bank Zhengzhou branch business from the aspects of business liabilities,inter-bank assets and business profits,and then reveals that there are serious product homogeneity,difficulty in expanding business channels,insufficient in pursuing customer,difficulty in mobilizing branches,weak capability on risk prevention and business development and so on.Then SWOT matrix analysis is used to analyze the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and challenges of the Zhengzhou branch of MS bank,and the four strategies of SO strategy,WO strategy,ST strategy and WT strategy are also analyzed.On the basis of the external environment,advantages,disadvantages,opportunities,challenges and problems faced by the Zhengzhou branch of MS Bank,suitable development strategies are designed for MS bank's Zhengzhou branch business,and put forward the strategy implementation plan,such as developing advantage products,expanding business channels,pursuing customer needs and fully mobilize the enthusiasm of branches,strengthen its capabilities on risk prevention,and enhance the potential for business development.This provides reference for solving the problems encountered in the business development of MS bank Zhengzhou branch,this paper can provide useful reference for other commercial banks in China on the development of inter-bank business.Through the detailed study and discussion,this paper provides a development strategy for the inter-bank business of MS Bank Zhengzhou branch,which not only offer references for the solutions to the problems that encountered in the development process of MS bank Zhengzhou branch,but also benefit for the development of other commercial banks in China.
