With rapid technological revolution and intensifying global competition,Chinese economic structure has entered a period of deepening adjustments,shifting to relying on factors such as technology,talent and innovative growth.The Knowledge-Intensive Service Industry(referred to as KIBS)plays an important role both in the development of regional economy and in the regional innovation because of its knowledge-intensive and innovative capability.However,with increasingly fierce market competition,ever-shortening product life cycles,complex and ever-changing demands,and,relying solely on existing services can barely guarantee that KIBS companies will win market competition.Heterogeneity knowledge is an important resource for KIBS companies,and different strategic orientations of companies can guide the allocation of enterprise resources.They are the key factors affecting the performance of enterprise service innovation.Therefore,this study is based on the special attributes of KIBS companies and discusses the influence mechanisms of different strategic orientations of KIBS companies on service innovation performance from the perspective of knowledge.Combining the background of service economy development,we will focus on KIBS enterprise service innovation,follow the paradigm of strategic management research,and establish a theoretical model of “strategic orientation—knowledge acquisition—service innovation performance” based on the resource-based concept,knowledge management,and service innovation theory so that we can explore the influences of the most important three strategic orientations on service innovation performance.Using KIBS companies from multiple regions in China as a sample is an access to obtaining information,what's more,by adopting SPSS and AMOS analysis,we are able to test the influences of entrepreneurial orientation,market orientation,and technology orientation and service innovation of KIBS enterprise on service innovation performance.The conclusions are as follows:(1)The entrepreneurial orientation,market orientation,and technology orientation of the KIBS entreprise all have a significant positive correlation with the company's service innovation performance,and there are synergistic effects between different strategic orientations;(2)Different strategic orientations have a positive effect on knowledge acquisition.(3)The higher the level of knowledge acquisition,the better the service innovation performance of the company;(4)The mediating effects ofknowledge acquisition on entrepreneurial orientation,market orientation,technology orientation,and enterprise service innovation performance are significant.This paper demonstrates the role of different strategic orientations in KIBS enterprise on service innovation performance.KIBS enterprise strategy orientation not only directly affects KIBS enterprise service innovation performance,but also partly improves knowledge innovation through knowledge acquisition.The study further expands the theory and practice research of service innovation,providing several reasonable explanations and suggestions for KIBS companies to build strategic orientation,cultivate knowledge acquisition capabilities,and optimize enterprise service innovation performance.
