In the modern era,the emergence of free trade zones has become an important form and development trend in the process of global economic integration. With the rise and prevalence of free trade parks,China has also started pilot construction of the Pilot Free Trade Zone(hereinafter referred to as the "PFTZ").The research content of this thesis mainly includes five parts:The first part elaborates the background and significance of this topic, describes the research method and technology roadmap of this paper, and the research content and innovation of this article. The second part introduces the domestic and foreign research status and theoretical basis of the pilot free trade zone in this paper.Based on the regional theory, the growth pole theory, the point axis system theory and the industrial cluster theory, the author systematically analyzes domestic and foreign scholars on the pilot free trade zone. The research theories and methods provide theoretical and methodological support for the follow-up study of the spatial layout of the China Pilot Free Trade Zone. The third part summarizes the development history and functional evolution of China's Pilot free trade zone.First,it elaborated on the progress of the gradient of China's opening to the outside world from the perspective of time.Second,it analyzed the evolution and development from the bonded area to the pilot free trade zone in terms of space and function. The fourth part focuses on the analysis of the factors affecting the spatial distribution of China's pilot free trade zone experimental zones.First, the status quo and distribution of the spatial distribution of China's pilot free trade zone are described. Then the point-axis system theory and Arc GIS software are used to analyze the distribution characteristics of China's free trade zone from east to west and from coast to inland.Based on the characteristics of distribution, the factors affecting the spatial layout of China's pilot free trade zones were analyzed from the aspects of location conditions, openness, industry infrastructure, and traffic conditions. The fifth part uses the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone as an example to analyze the advantageous conditions for the establishment of pilot free trade zones in Shanghai using the theory of economic geography. The comprehensive development of the pilot free trade zones is constructed through AHP and fuzzy evaluation. The calculation of the comprehensivedevelopment level of the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone has been calculated, and the conclusion is drawn that the current level of development of the Pilot Free Trade Zone in Shanghai has a certain gap from other mature free trade ports. The sixth part is the summary of the research process and results of the full text. The spatial distribution pattern of China's Pilot free trade zone has been drawn, and opinions and countermeasures have been provided to further explore new modes of regional economic development and to form a scalable and replicable free trade zone. The construction of a Pilot free trade zone is an important way for China to participate in international economic trade. This article has a positive significance from the perspective of economic geography.Due to the relatively novel nature of the field and the limited time and effort, this standard is not sufficiently deep and perfect for China's Pilot free trade zone. With the continuous development of China's Pilot free trade zone, its research value can be further explored.
