This paper presents the development and the state of art of multi-element statistical methods and their application and development in the future.The present paper utilize s these methods to analyze and solve practical problems.The first chapter gives an int roduction to the history and principle of multi-element statistical methods.The second chapter lists several commonly used methods and explains their theoretical philosoph y and applications.These methods include multiple regression,cluster analysis,princi pal component analysis and factor analysis.Three examples are presented:the main re ason analysis of the increase of Chinese population using multiple regression method,the evaluation of Asian man's football based on the main competition results of recent years using clustering k-means algorithm,and the classification of farmers' living sta ndard in 16 provinces of China by the means of principal component analysis.The thi rd chapter statistically analyzes the intelligent investing consultant "Machine Gene In vestment" by the Merchants Bank of China.The facts of Machine Gene Investment ar e explored by combining the input and output items analysis,the correlation analysis,the regression analysis and the comparison of earning rates of subject funds.
