An Empirical Study On The Impact Of OFDI In Jiangsu Province On Industrial Upgrading

With the deeper development of economic opining-up,the contribution of OFDI has become an important part of China's economic development.OFDI can not only introduce the absorption of talents and technology,increase international competitiveness,but also expand the export market,improve economic strength.The level of industrial structure can be seen in the degree of economic development of a country or region.The upgrading of industrial structure is the purpose of adjusting the industrial structure of each country or region.China's whole economic development level has gradually increased and it is facing the problem of how to speed up the upgrading of the industrial structure.At the same time,China is maintaining its original pace of development,it attaches importance to foreign economic activities and speeds up the upgrading of its industrial structure.As one of the representative provinces with more developed economy,OFDI in Jiangsu Province develops fast and the scale continues to expand.On one hand,it reflects the continuous economic strength of Jiangsu.On the other hand,since 21 st century,Jiangsu Province has entered a new round of industry Structural adjustment and upgrading,faced with how to change the mode of economic development,adjust the industrial structure and other issues.OFDI is an important pulling force of Jiangsu's economic growth,and to a certain extent,promoted theoptimization and upgrading of industrial structure.It also made an important contribution to Jiangsu Province's economic development and foreign cooperation and exchanges.Therefore,to providing better suggestions,it has great significance to study the impact of OFDI on the upgrading of industrial structure in JiangSu province.This paper puts forward the background and significance of the thesis at first,explains the theoretical and practical significance of studying the problem,and expounds the research content and method of the thesis.Secondly,it summarizes the theory of industrial structure upgrading and its measurement method and the impact of OFDI on industrial structure upgrading.Focusing on the definition of industrial structure upgrades and OFDI related concepts,introduced the impact of OFDI on the upgrading of industrial structure theory and many domestic and foreign research results.Thirdly,introducing the status of Jiangsu Province's OFDI from the aspect of development background and characteristics.And then analyzes the industrial structure effect of Jiangsu's foreign direct investment.On the basis of the measurement of the industrial structure level,the semi-logarithm equation of Chenery and Syrquin is borrowed and the regression model is established to analyze the effect of Jiangsu 's OFDI on the upgrading of industrial structure.Finally,accroding to the conclusion of empirical analysis,the paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions on the industrial choiceof Jiangsu's OFDI.
