The communist party of China(CPC)points out in the 18 th CPC National Congress report that if the youth is strong,then the country will be strong;If the youth has dream and the ability and are willing to shoulder responsibility,the country will be hopeful.According to the National Physique Monitoring news,the physical quality of college students has not improved,but it continues to decline.Poor eyesight rate remains high and obesity rate continues to rise.PE class in higher education is the last stage for people to receive systematic education and it plays an important role in associating social sports with school sports.In response to the national call and to promote the development of the national fitness business,this paper do researches on the use of fitness apps of college students based on the hierarchy of needs and new media in order to raise the awareness of participating in sports regularly and create good atmosphere of healthy lifestyle in China.This paper researches 800 college students in Xihua university by collecting statistics with literature material method,interviewing,logic analysis,questionnaire,mathematical statistics.And it also takes students who use fitness apps as study objects to explore their behaviour,furthermore,to strengthen their participation in physical exercise and promote the sustainable development of the national fitness business.This paper mainly gets results as following: 1)There are 609 students that use fitness apps,which accounts for 77.48% of total people who use fitness apps.2)Different groups of students' requirements for fitness app use are in different level: From the aspect of gender,self-esteemed requirement is urgent and from the aspect of major,self-esteemed and self-achieved requirement for art major student is more outstanding,which respectively reach to 93.24% and 89.59%.From the perspective of grade,the fresh man tends to have social requirements,accounting for 86.03%.Sophomores and juniors are eager to achieve their own needs,accounting for 86.65% and 90.49% respectively.Senior students pay more attention to self-achieved and self-esteem needs,accounting for 92.82% and 93.48%.From the body mass index(BMI),students with low body weight tend to self-esteemed requirements,accounting for 83.26%.Students with normal index have greater demand for self-achievement,accounting for 84.85%.Obese students value physical needs more,accounting for 88.76%.3)The fitness apps has a positive effect on college students' physical exercise behavior: The number of people recommended by the We Chat and Weibo platforms is the largest,accounting for 31.86%;the students who use fitness apps for one to two years are the most,accounting for 27.59% of the total number;people who exercise for 3 to 4 times a week,accounting for 44.5%;57.15% of the researched students exercise within 30 min to 1 hour each time;the form of online team organization increases significantly from 93 before use to132 People;At the same time,there has been a significant increase in sports consumption,sports attitudes,and the value of sports.4)Fitness apps meets the level of college students' needs,but there are still drawbacks: it is mainly reflected in problems such as unreasonable position of advertisement,slow update of curriculum content,complex page design,and inaccurate record data;5)The benefits of fitness apps for college students' growth outweigh the disadvantages: they are mainly manifested in the improvement of co-ordination,agility,flexibility,sense of accomplishment,and sports habits.However,the content of courses is more difficult,and it conflicts with psychological comparisons,therefore,there is also a certain negative effect for college's students' growth.Therefore,the following suggestions are put forward:(1)The extracurricular activities of students can be included in regulations of Xihua University so as to establish campus culture and learning atmosphere.(2)Sports APP is widely used in college students,and plays a certain role in promoting the physical education of college students.Colleges and universities can research and develop or bring in sports APP which is suitable for the realities of schools.(3)College students should use sports APP gradually according to their capabilities.(4)The Research and Development team should adopt the users' suggestions in time,sum up the user's demands regularly,constantly improve the functions of the sports APP.In addition,cooperating with schools,making the physical exercise tasks according to students' curriculum can enhance the stickiness of users.(5)The next step is to expand the number and scope of objects and compare the differences between students in different regions or in different types of universities.
