Research On The Differences Of FDI Location Choices From The Perspective Of Time And Space

In recent years,China's economic development has been rapid,the economic scale has continued to expand,and the investment environment has continued to be optimized,attracting a large number of foreign direct investment inflows.Foreign direct investment has played an important role in promoting the infrastructure construction,promoting the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure and improving the level of economic development in various regions of China.However,China's extensive economic development methods have caused many problems in china's economy.Foreign direct investment in china is a regional imbalance.How to promote the coordinated development of foreign direct investment and regional economy in various regions and make full use of foreign direct investment to promote the transformation and upgrading of China's economic structure will plays an important role in promoting the high-quality economic development of China.Based on the new economic geography and the eclectic paradigm of international production,this paper uses the spatial extreme boundary model(SEBA model),and uses the panel data of 29 provincial regions in China from 1992 to 2015,to test the influencing factors of FDI location choice from two dimensions of time and space,comparing and analyzing their temporal and spatial differences and evolution trend,in order to reveal the general rule of temporal and spatial evolution FDI location factors in China.The empirical results show that:(1)In our country,FDI gradually changes from cost-oriented to market-oriented and technology-oriented;(2)Human capital and infrastructure are important factors in attract FDI inflows,and the role of technological innovation in attracting FDI is gradually highlighted;(3)The comparative advantage of opening up to the outside world in the eastern region,the advantage of energy efficiency in the central region,and the advantage of labor cost in the western region have gradually weakened;(4)The role of the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure in the central and western regions has not been highlighted in attracting FDI inflows.According to the research conclusions,in order to attract FDI better in all regions,this paper puts forward four suggestions:(1)Grasping the orientation of foreign direct investment and guiding the development of foreign direct investment;(2)Increasing investment in technology and education and improving infrastructure construction;(3)Use of regional comparative advantage and strengthen regional economic ties;(4)Promote the optimization of industrial structure and guide the development of industrial agglomeration.
