On Influence Mechanism Of Paradoxical Leadership On Firms' Innovation Performance

Under the background of innovation driven economic transformation,the external environment of enterprises has become more uncertain in the face of fierce competition at home and abroad.In such a highly uncertain environment,how to take account of the current survival and future development is a problem that every business must face and cannot escape.There is no doubt that enterprises can guarantee the current survival of the enterprise through incremental innovation,and ensure the future development of the enterprise through radical innovation.But how to balance between incremental innovation and radical innovation has always been a strategic challenge for every decision maker.Paradox leadership theory has provided a useful exploration for solving this problem.Based on literature review,this study constructs a theoretical analysis model of paradoxical leadership,dual innovation capability and enterprise innovation performance,and explores the intrinsic mechanism of paradoxical leadership on corporate innovation performance.This study is based on two sub studies in depth analysis:(1)The study of the mediating effect of dual innovation capability and the influence of paradoxical leadership on enterprise innovation performance through dual innovation capability;(2)The study of the regulatory effect of environmental competitiveness,and explores the mechanism of the role of paradoxical leadership on enterprise innovation performance in a highly competitive environment.Finally,based on the above findings,the mechanism of paradoxical leadership on corporate innovation performance is comprehensively analyzed.The results of this study are as follows:(1)Paradoxical leadership has a significant positive impact on enterprise innovation performance.(2)Incremental innovation capability and radical innovation capability play a part of mediating role between paradoxical leadership and enterprise innovation performance.(3)The moderating effect of environmental competitiveness on paradoxical leadership and enterprise innovation performance is not significant;(4)Environmental competitiveness significantly regulates the relationship between paradoxical leadership and incremental innovation and radical innovation.In summary,the mechanism of the paradox of leadership on enterprise innovation performance is: Paradoxical leadership has a significant positive impact on enterprise innovation performance,and at the same time by the incremental innovation and radical innovation capability to impact on innovation performance;in the competitive environment,Paradoxical leadership can raise incremental innovation capability and radical the innovation capability of enterprises.
