| In the coming years,the Kyrgyz Republic needs to solve the complex large-scale interconnected objectives associated with competitive market economy and its closer integration into the world economy,where the optimal structure of foreign trade plays crucial role.In this regard,the problem studied and analyzed in this work is actual and significant,related with the analyses of Kyrgyz export efficiency and effectiveness based on textile and garment industry.Newly developing textile and garment industry became a main source of export earnings in Kyrgyzstan.The work analyzes the export efficiency of the textile and garment industry of Kyrgyzstan for 2008-2015 based on model of Complex Economic Analyses and Export competitiveness analyses based on Revealed Comparative Advantage(RCA)and Export Competitiveness Index(XCI).The qualitative analyses of the export efficiency reveals value chain analyses,business environment analyses and interview results with the entrepreneurs involved in this industry.The results has demonstrated that export of textile and garment industry is efficient at some extent.The indexes of RCA and XCI for the period 2008-2015 demonstrated that export in Kyrgyzstan has comparative advantage in the world market and takes a leading position towards its main competitors,Russia and Kazakhstan based on RCA index.However,the industry faces important challenges associated with low organized sector,limited diversification opportunities in the industry,employment and skill gap challenge,taxes and shadow economy and challenges in access to finance and logistics. |
