Accompanied by the globalization of the world economy and the acceleration of China's reform and opening up,the era of “Internet +” has brought new opportunities and challenges for the development of express delivery industry in our country.Nowadays,the express delivery industry has become an important industry that constitutes the national economy of our country and it plays an important role in solving social employment,promoting consumption upgrading and promoting the transformation of circulation methods.However,in the process of rapid development of the express delivery industry in our country,it also exposed many problems which include “multi,small,scattered,and chaotic” of market conditions,uneven service levels,severe homogenization of service products,low operating efficiency,and low profitability of enterprises.Based on this background,the paper takes express delivery industry of our country as research object,adopting the literature research,the qualitative analysis and the quantitative analysis,the empirical research and the normative research and other research method,taking the related public data as the foundation,applies the market structure,market behavior and market performance of express delivery industry in our country through the SCP paradigm of industrial organization theory.In the paper,literature research,qualitative and quantitative analysis,empirical research and normative research are used as research methods.The analysis shows that the market concentration of express delivery industry in our country is relatively high at present,but due to the large number of enterprises,the small and few enterprises of scale type,the degree of product differentiation is not high,and there are certain market barriers,so it belongs to the medium oligopoly market structure.Through the price behaviors(the price competition game and the average unit price of the express delivery business)and the non-price behaviors(marketing strategy,product strategies,and competition strategies)analysis,it concludes that the current “price war” of express delivery market in our country tends to be stable.In the upsurge of mergers and acquisitions,express delivery companies have increasingly attached importance to non-price behavioral competition.By using the method of combining qualitative and quantitative analysis to analyze the market performance of express delivery industry in our country,it shows that the rapid development of express delivery market in our country has been steadily improved in the network layout,scale and technology in recent years,but there is still a certain gap with international express delivery companies,and the comprehensive strength of the industry needs to be further improved;In addition,the paper analyses the relationship between market behavior and market performance is analyzed of the express delivery industry in our country,and it is concluded that there is a mutual interaction relationship between market structure,market behavior and market performance.The government and enterprises should take into account the influence of various factors when making relevant decisions,overall planning for the development of industries and enterprises.Finally,on the basis of analyzing the research of express delivery industry in our country by using SCP paradigm,combining the development experience of domestic and foreign excellent express delivery enterprises,the paper puts forward some policy suggestions to promote the development of express industry in China from two aspects of market structure and market behavior: in the aspect of market structure,it is necessary to improve the market concentration of express delivery industry,strengthen the differential characteristics of express products and improve the market access and exit mechanism.In the aspect of market behavior,we should improve the innovation ability of express products,encourage enterprises to merge and reorganize and strengthen the integration of internal resources.
