In the era of knowledge economy, the competitive advantage of new product is more and more concentrated on the knowledge.Correspondingly, resources investment decisions in cooperated new product development has gradually got rid of the influence of traditional resources such as acquisition, transportation and storage, and become more and more dependent on the knowledge level of the developers.Existed researches about resources investment decisions in cooperated new product development always omit the enterprise's knowledge level, and often ignore the important influence of bidirectional and multiple knowledge transfer process. This article took the cooperative R&D in supply chain as an example, built a cooperated new product development model based on knowledge development and knowledge transfer process. We discussed the resources investment decisions under different cases on the basis of considering the lag of knowledge growth, and then showed the corresponding trends through numerical experiments. The following conclusions are obtained through the above research:(1)During the process of new product development under the dependence of knowledge level, not only the cooperative enterprises carry out their own knowledge development activities, but also there exists a bidirectional and multiple knowledge transfer process among enterprises, which has a significant impact on overall resources investment decisions. The concrete manifestation is that in the research and development cycle, the optimal resources investment decisions are no longer immutable, but dynamically change with the development time under the combined effect of various factors.(2)The initial knowledge level of both parties has a significant influence on the optimal resources investment decisions in the cooperative new product development process. In general,an enterprise with a lower initial knowledge level will devote the largest amount of resources at the beginning of the period to absorbing a sufficient amount of expertise, while a firm with a higher initial knowledge level will devote the largest amount of resources when partner's knowledge has been accumulated to a certain degree.(3)The maximum value of resources investment decisions in the process of knowledge development always appears at the beginning of the period, which will not change under any factors such as initial knowledge level.
