Research On Establishment Of Knowledge Appliance For New Product Development In Network Environment

Product is the foundation for companies to survive and develop, in order to gain reward and the leader position, companies have to develop new product and satisfy clients' requirements as the fierce competition and fast technical and scientific development. New Product Development (NPD) Knowledge Alliance which can organize and take advantage of competitive resources will form resource advantage on NPD, overcome problems and difficulties in NPD and commercialization boost speed, efficiency and capability of NPD.Establishment of NPD Knowledge Alliance (KA) is the point in the research on NPD Knowledge Alliance. The author focuses on kinds of KA, Information System of KA, organization model of KA and how to select right partners. Only select right partners can the company who establish the knowledge alliance operate the knowledge alliance smoothly, otherwise, there will be cooperative difficulties.This paper will introduce related theories on NPD and knowledge alliance and focus on the methods on how to select knowledge alliance partners.Secondly, I will research on how to establish NPD KA, including how to select partners and how to select organization model. When I research on partner selection, I have researched on analytic network processes (ANP) which can process indicators' weights. Because the calculation of ANP is very complex, software for ANP is need here, and SuperDecision is customized software for ANP.Finally, I apply the models in this paper to a Telecommunication Equipment Company named A. The reality is the same with the result given by the partner selection model in this paper which means the partner selection is right and practical.
