Tourism industry,one of the strategic industries in China,is in the prime of its development.Since accommodation is an essential link in tourist consumption,hotel industry has become one of the three pillars of tourism industry and thus made remarkable contributions to tourism development in China.However,we have to face a serious problem in its development: the constantly high employee turnover caused by a frequent talent flow in China's tourism industry.Since hotel industry is a typical labor-intensive industry;In which,the competition between different hotels is mainly reflected in the competition for employee resources,especially for the occupation of talent resources.Therefore,talents have become the key factor for the sustainable development of hotel industry.Recent years have seen more young people,particularly the generation after 80 s and 90 s,becoming the strong force in the hotel industry.They have impacted the original management mode of hotels with their different values and new modes of thinking.In order to keep a foothold and stand out in the industry,the five-star hotels must attract,cultivate and retain talents.As the new emerging forces in the hotel industry,the generation after 80 s and 90 s are regarded as the mainstay of the talent team of hotel industry,whose degree of satisfaction,to a large extent,determines the future development trend of hotels.For this reason,a mastery over the psychological tendency of the employees after the 80 s and 90 s and effectively management of them are the key to resolving the talent crisis in five-star hotels.Applying qualitative and quantitative research method,this paper consists of the relevant literature review,analysis of the questionnaire survey of degree of satisfaction,analysis of interview and empirical study.Empirical study is employed as the core research method to study The Westin Shenzhen,investigate the relevant factors influencing the degree of satisfaction of the post-80 s and 90 s employees,analyze if the six factors,work environment,physical and psychological qualities,leadership,personal development,hotel management and compensation and welfare will influence their degree of satisfaction and probe into the influence degree.This paper covers the following six parts: The first part is introduction,presenting the research background and significance,research contents and structure,research methods and innovation points.The second part offers an analysis of the definition and theoretical basis of the employees' degree in China,organizes the relevant factors influencing their degree of satisfaction and the corresponding results of measurement on the basis of investigating the existing literature and theories.In the third part,a measurement model for the employees' degree of satisfaction to analyze and sort out the factors influencing the degree of satisfaction of employees and to determine the interrelations between each factor according to the uniqueness of employees' degree of satisfaction on the basis of the relevant literature,interview and consultation.This paper also introduces the methods of data survey and analytical model.The fourth part is the empirical study of the degree of satisfaction of employees from The Westin Shenzhen,including the design of questionnaire,the general introduction to the employees' degree of satisfaction,data analysis and statistics,validity and credibility of survey data.The fifth part encompasses the suggestions and measures for the increasing degree of satisfaction of post-80 s and 90 s employees in five-star hotels.The last chapter presents the conclusions of this paper and future prospects,summarizing the deficiencies of this paper on the basis of recognizing its theoretical studies and practical values.
