Studies On Bingtang Orange Industry Development In Yongxing County Of Hunan Province

China's citrus industry mainly distribute in subtropical monsoon climate area.With increasing of customers' demand for oranges and tangerines,citrus industry has become a significant force to facilitate the primary industry restructuring,farmer income and employment increment.Since introducing Bingtang orange variety from Mayang in 1978,after several years' prioritizing cultivation with the superiority of natural resources,Bingtang orange industry has developed into one of pillar industries promoting the economic development of Yongxing County.In recent years,Yongxing County has vigorously developed Bingtang orange industry on the basis of making full use of exiting natural resource condition and social economic foundation from less than 5000 thousand mu in 1995 to 140 thousand mu up to now.Meanwhile,the development of Bingtang orange industry not only showing in the cropping scale but also in aspects such as governmental guidance,industry basis and technological support,cultivation technology,variety structure and seedling breeding,picking and storage,scientific force and technical service,brand-building,market development and its comprehensive effectiveness.This paper study the factors of affecting the development of Bingtang orange industry based on the current situation of the development of Bingtang orange industry in Yongxing County.Firstly,we established the multiple linear regression models to analyze the direct influence of total output,market price,planting area,planting households per mu investment,government financial input,technology investment and the number of farmer cooperatives for total value of out-put.And it concluded these independent variables are related to the dependent variables,but the government financial investment,scientific and technological input,and the number of farmer cooperatives have less impact on the total output value.Afterwards,we also used the path analysis method to analyze that the effects of variables interact with each other for total value of out-put,which concluded that some effects of factors for total value of out-put mainly are indirect effect,but other factors have greatly directly influence on the total output value.Finally,due to the practical problems of the development of the development of Bingtang orange industry in Yongxing County and its empirical results this paper put forward suggestions on several aspects of organizational support,financial support,technical support,supporting policies and measures and so on to provide guidance for the development of Bingtang orange industry in Yongxing County and other areas.
