Since the development of the health check industry in 2004,the competition has become increasingly fierce.In order to seek rapid development,companies have started the road to mergers and acquisitions.The Meinian Healthcare's acquisition completed in 2017 has exerted a tremendous influence on the pattern of the entire healthcare industry.Meinian Healthcare through the acquisition has improved the product structure of the company,expanded the scale of the enterprise,achieved the full layout of the high-low-end market,and enhanced the company's core competitiveness.Although the event has ended,it is still worthwhile for us to study whether the motives generated by the M&A will have a synergistic effect.Therefore,based on the related theories of merger and acquisition and theory of synergy effects,the case study method and comparative analysis method are used to study the cases of M&A,the causes of mergers and acquisitions and the risk of M&A are analyzed.Based on this,we will further analyze the synergistic effects.Firstly,the financial indicators and non-financial indicators were selected from the three aspects of business collaboration,management collaboration,and financial collaboration to compare the data before and after the merger and acquisition to obtain the qualitative analysis results.Then the EVA model was used to quantify the acquisition of synergy effects.Finally,summarize the successful merger and acquisition cases and propose relevant suggestions for other companies.Through research and analysis,this paper draws the following conclusions: The merger and acquisition motives of Meinian include increasing market share and enhancing industry competitiveness;promoting the company's business development;improving the company's product structure and filling the market gap.Through the study of the categorized evaluation system,the merger achieved a synergistic effect,including business synergy,management synergy and financial synergy.Through the EVA model,it is verified that this acquisition brings positive effects,increases the value and achieves certain synergies.Therefore,for industrial mergers and acquisitions,the company's strategy has important implications for the success.The choice of M&A target is also key.Before selecting the M&A target,a detailed due diligence needs to be made.We must focus on the integration of resources after mergers and acquisitions,including management,financial aspects,and operations.Choosing the financing channel suitable for the company,and reducing the cost of the enterprise due to financing.
