In the era of knowledge economy,as people's research on career development is more and more deeply,career plateau as an unavoidable phenomenon in professional development has become a hot issue of scholars.This paper takes an enterprise as the research background,starting from three reasons of career plateau formation,this paper introduces organizational commitment as intermediary variable,analyzes the relationship between career plateau and job performance through empirical research,and tries to put forward some suggestions on the basis of the research conclusion,in order to help the enterprise solve the problem of career plateau.Based on the study of the relationship between career plateau and job performance,this paper constructs a model of the relationship between career plateau and job performance,and puts forward the relevant theoretical hypotheses.Through a questionnaire survey and interviews with 236 employees in E company,using Amos statistical analysis software to analyze the survey data,the results show that: Motivation lacking,incompetent ability and opportunity missing have a significant negative impact on job performance,among which organizational commitment plays a mediating role in the relationship between opportunity missing and job performance.Based on the research results,this paper looks forward to the future research in the field of career plateau,and puts forward some management suggestions on how to solve the problem of the career plateau of the employees,and hopes that the results obtained will complement the research of the career plateau in China,hoping to play a useful guidance and effective role in promoting China's enterprise human resources management practice.
