The Three Margins Of China's High-tech Industry Export On The View Of Generalized Virtual Economy

Since China implemented the “Developing Trade through Science and Technology”strategy in 1999,China's high-tech products export grows rapidly,China's export trade structure has undergone great changes.The share of High-tech product as ICT product(Including semiconductor product,TV product,IT product and office machinery)in China's export rises,has become one of the important support for China's export growth.This thesis is based on the generalized virtual economy new perspective to study China's High-tech product export growth.Through analyzing the related research on generalized virtual economy and margins of export,Combining with related trade theories,we create the three margins of export on the view of generalized virtual economy that decompose China's export into tree margins: extensive margin,scale margin and virtual margin.On this basis,selecting China's ICT product export trade data from 2002 to 2013,we study China's ICT product export growth pattern through the extensive three marginal model.The research result shows the contribution of the extensive margin to the growth of China's ICT export is almost zero.The intensive margin contributes the most to the growth of China's ICT export,annual compound growth rate is 15.2977 percent.Further more,divide extensive margin into scale margin and virtual margin,scale margin contributes 80.0377 percent to the growth of China's ICT export,virtual margin contributes 19.9623 percent to the growth of China's ICT export.China's high-tech product export growth mainly due to the reduction of average cost created by export scale expansion,the improvement of product quality and the increase from virtual value.China's high-tech product export pattern has been changing from simple scale expansion to Virtual value driven.
