A Study On A Design Intermodal Transportation Hub Network Between China And Korea

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea in 1992,the trade volume between China and South Korea has been increasing rapidly.In international trade relations,China has become South Korea's largest trading country,and South Korea has become China's fourth trading country.According to the rapid increased trade volume between China and South Korea,China and South Korea have studied logistics network to improve logistics efficiency.Because the reduction of transportation cost is directly connected the competitive of product price,so many enterprises are trying to build up the basic infrastructure of logistics in order to improve the competitiveness of the products.This paper reflect the actual situation of two countries to designs intermodal hub network between China and South Korea and designed intermodal hub network between China and South Korea through the analysis of the economic aspects.Due to political influence,transportation between China and Korea can't use road transport,so design intermodal hub network by sea and air transport.In order to avoid excessive transportation routes,direct transportation will be allowed.Although the hub service cost and transfer cost were calculated together in the past,but this paper calculates two costs separately by the unit container and hub service decision variables.According to the concept of containerization of goods,this paper designed intermodal hub network.The purpose of this paper is design intermodal hub network between China and South Korea by considering the characteristics of China and South Korea.So to improve the logistics efficiency between the two countries,this paper solved the network between 10 cities in China and Korea and proposed intermodal hub network.
