Since the emergence of science and technology,we have never stopped thinking about it,especially in today's ever-changing era,the impact of science and technology on people's lives has become more pronounced, and it is even possible to determine the future of humankind. Therefore, science and technology rethinking is one of the hottest topics nowadays.People not only need to reflect on the natural harm brought about by science and technology, but also reflect on the impact of science and technology on the human spirit.Jurgen Habermas is a famous German sociologist and philosopher, and is the second generation representative of the Frankfurt school. His theory of communication is very famous, but in fact his scientific and technological concept is also an important part of Habermas's thinking. In his book "Technology and Science as "Ideology,"Habermas has critically reviewed science and technology from the perspective of humanistic spirit.Historically,it is not only Habermas who affirmed that science and technology are important productive forces, but Habermas was the first person who explicitly put forward that science and technology are the "first" productive forces. He believes that science and technology can create tremendous material wealth, affirming the tremendous role of technology in human society, and even that technology has become an independent source of residual value.Habermas's ideological and theoretical focus is to criticize the negative effects of science and technology, that is,the alienation of science and technology. The alienation of science and technology is mainly manifested in two aspects:First, technology alienates people into machine slavery. In the era of big industry, science and technology increased production efficiency and liberated people's hands. However,it did not bring true freedom to mankind. The advancement of science and technology suppressed the individual's personality and creativity and hindered the full development of man.Second, the alienation of science and technology make science has become a new ideology, with the function of legalizing the rule, and this new ideology is more difficult to be perceived by people,it can be called an invisible ideology. In the discussion process,Habermas exaggerated the role of science and technology and denied Marxist theory of surplus value. At the same time,he also exaggerated the negative effects of science and technology itself. He considered science and technology as the key to all problems. He only criticized science and technology itself and ignored the external factors arising from the alienation of science and technology, thereby eliminating the criticism of the capitalist system. So that ultimately failed to propose effective solutions to the negative effects of technology. His theory of ideology, from the perspective of Marxism, misinterprets the essence of science and technology and confuses the concepts of "ideology" and "ideological form."All in all,Habermas has many unique insights in his thoughts and brings us to consider different angles of science and technology. At the same time, his ideas also have obvious deficiencies. However, his theoretical flaws cannot hide his academic value. His ideology reminds us to remain vigilant about the negative effects of science and technology,to guard against the alienation of science and technology,to inspire us to establish the correct values of science and technology, and to highlight the importance of humanistic spirit in the development of science and technology.
