Research On Bird Community Structure And Bird Strike Prevention Measures At Xingkai Lake Airport In Jixi

In this study,the avian communities and airport habitats in Jixi Xingkai Lake Airport and its surrounding areas were investigated by using the method of line transect method and point count method from October 2016 to October 2018.A total of 100 species of birds were recorded,belonging to 16 orders and 34 families.Of the 100 species,17 species were resident birds,67 species were summer birds,4 species were winter birds,12 species were transient migrant,and summer birds were the dominant migrating type of birds,followed by resident birds.From different habitats,the bird diversity and richness were the highest in coniferous-broad-leaved mixed forest.Meanwhile,the bird richness in river,lake and swamp wetlands was second only to that in coniferous-broad-leaved mixed forest,but with the lowest evenness.The bird diversity in village farmland was second only to that in coniferous-broad-leaved mixed forest,and exhibiting the highest evenness.The coniferous forest and broad-leaved forest were relatively single in forest stand,showing relatively lower bird diversity and richness.Moreover,avian communities differed greatly in different seasons.A total of 66 species of birds were recorded in spring,and the most dangerous birds to flight safety were the long-eared owl,the kestrel and the ring-necked pheasant.Forty-nine species of birds were recorded in summer,and the most dangerous birds to flight safety were ring-necked pheasant,magpie,barn swallow,red-rumped swallow and house sparrow.Meanwhile,67 species of birds were recorded in autumn,of which green-winged teal,house sparrow,house swallow,red-rumped swallow,tringa ochropus,long-eared owl and strix uralensis were the most threatening birds to flight safety.Additionally,23 species of birds were recorded in winter,and magpies and strix uralensis were the most dangerous to flight safety.In the aspect of avian surveillance,this paper put forward comprehensive measures from five aspects of airport grassland management,water management,social and economic activities management,rodent management as well as bird repelling and bird surveillance,which were based primarily on ecological prevention and control combined with artificial bird repelling,so as to improve the feeding source,water source,breeding place and habitat of birds.It is expected to provide reference for avian surveillance in Jixi Xingkai Lake Airport.
