With the development of the oil field exploitation, the deep well and ultra deep well gradually take market more shares yearly, however, the technique of drilling fluid has not been improved accordingly.at the present market, the adsorption ability of the fluid loss additive on clay particle are way down a lot at High Temperature and High Salinity Conditions.it makes not enough thickness to form hydrated shell on clay particles and directly cause the destory of wall building properties and the properties of fluid loss control of the drilling fluid. Therefore, it is an urgent job to do researches on Drilling Fluid Filtrate Reducer for high temperature and high salinity.Based on the additive mechanism in resistance of high temperature and salt and its requirement of molecular structure, the object of study produce a water-based filtration reducer for drilling fluid with the resistance of high temperature and high salinity by solution polymerization-- Cationoid Sulfonated Phenolic Resin(CSMP). It ensures the treatment agent capabilities while improving hydration treatment agent in the adsorption capacity of the clay surface. This paper elaborates the influences on the characteristics of drilling fluid by the influential factors in the preparation process of CSMP, the structure of product, water-solubility and synthetic product.1) In order to improve the polymer molecular weight and degree of sulphonation, the experiment takes three-stage method of sulfonation to sulfonate the synthesis process of low molecular weight cationic phenol-formaldehyde resin.It designs and optimizes the raw material ratio and the related reaction conditions. The total yield was 96.9%2) Experiment by using infrared spectroscopy (IR) and nuclear agnetic resonance spectroscopy (H-NMR) of auxiliary method detects complementary certificates to characterize the structure of the material.3)Used ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry to test the samples of cloud point and salinity on the clay adsorption amount, the structure system of samples on the clay particles saturated adsorption amount of up to 33.51 mg/g soil, cloud point salinity (Cl-1)=160g/L;4) This paper will replace SMP by CSMP to makeup the "three sulfur mud" system with different salinity and evaluate the properties of fluid loss control. Evaluation results show that the product get the cationic degrees of 15% and the sulfonation degree of 95% has the best effects of fluid loss reduction. Plusing 5% amount of the sample into the drilling fluid and under the condition of 200? after aging 16 h, measured quantity of filtration for 22 ml. Its resistance to high temperature and high pressure fluid loss is better than the current SMP series products.
