Silk Road Economic Zone construction is an important strategic deployment of omni-directional opening pattern in our country.Northwestern China is the hinterland of the Silk Road Economic Belt,who has strong location advantages,cultural advantage and space advantage.The ecological security situation of the northwest region,who is deep in the inland area and has fragile ecological environment,is an opportunity and challenge for the construction of the core region of the Silk Road Economic Belt.Northwestern China has obvious geographical advantages and developing opportunities under the background of construction of the Silk Road Economic Zone.The northwestern region is the ecological source and barrier of our country,on the one hand,it plays an important strategic role in the national ecological security,on the other hand,it is also an ecologically fragile area and has been experiencing serious ecological degradation.However,the development of economic and social needs a good ecological environment as the carrier;the ecological security status of this region has an important influence on the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt.Based on numbers of related theories and literature studies of ecological security,this paper defines the concept of ecological security as the degree of health and integrity of the ecosystem,it is the guarantee degree of human's production,life,health is not affected by ecological destruction and environmental pollution.Choosing the Northwestern China as the research object,selecting the typical indicators,basing on the PSR frame structure and idea of hierarchy,this paper builds an ecological security evaluation index system containing target layer,criterion layer and index layer by 25basic indicators reflecting the status of ecological security.Then,an ecological security evaluation of Northwestern China during 2006-2015 is researched by using the entropy weight method and analytic hierarchy process(AHP).the evaluation result showed a trend of obvious improvement in the ecological environment,ecological security level transferred from not safe level to the basic safe level,then to relative safe level in Northwest China during 2006-2015.However,the result of ecological security evaluation and determination of grade are generally static conclusion,in order to reveal the dynamic changing trend and speed of the five northwestern provinces during the study period,ecological security warning model is used to reflect the ecological security state warming and dynamic early warning for the northwestern five provinces.The state warning results show that:(1)in 2011,Shaanxi province was in a relative safe state,the other four provinces and regions were in a state of mild warning;in 2015,Xinjiang was in a safe state,and all the other four provinces were in a relative safe state,with no light or heavy warming state.Dynamic warning results show that:(1)with comparison of 2011 to 2006,pressure layer index of Shaanxi,Gansu,Qinghai,Xinxiang all showed the early trending warning and speed warming,suggesting that human activities gave great pressure on the ecosystem in 2011,on the contrary,Ningxia showed an eased pressure.(2)With comparison of 2015 to 2011,Shaanxi,Ningxia and Qinghai showed early trending warning;Gansu province showed the early trending warning and speed warming;the warning result of the state subsystem showed that there was trend warning for Gansu and Ningxia,indicating that there was a degenerating tendency in the ecological system of these two provinces.Finally,this paper analyzes the existing problems of ecological security in Northwest China and puts forward some pertinent policy suggestions.This paper aims at exploring ecological security evaluation and early warning of northwestern region,making the government and pubic to understand the development of the ecological environment security in a timely manner,and provide reference and guidance for the regional sustainable development strategy and the management of ecological safety,it has great significance for the Northwestern China to implement the green and healthy economic and social sustainable development under the Silk Road Economic Belt construction opportunity.
