With the rapid development of science and technology, the demand for fossil energy is increasing.Meanwhile, the problem of environmental governance and protections are very serious.Coal gasification water is a kind of derived pollutants in the process of high temperature distillation of coal, which has a wide variety and great toxicity. In order to solve this problem, this paper explores the feasibility of an electrochemical combined ultrasonic technique to treat highly toxic organic wastewater with a high degree of phenol simulated wastewater and the mechanism of its action and the characteristics of chemical reaction kinetics are briefly analyzed. In combination with COMSOL Multiphysics, the characteristics of the fluid in the reaction process and the promoting effect of the bubble flow on the reaction are studied. The experimental contents and results include:(1)The simulated wastewater of phenol was treated by electrochemical, ultrasonic and electrochemistry and ultrasonic combined with three methods. It is found that there is an obvious synergistic effect between the electrochemistry and ultrasonic technology, and the synergistic factor is 98.02%.(2)The effects of initial pH in solution and applied intensity of voltage on removal ratio of phenol by ultrasound/electrochemical method were studied. At the optimum condition,i.e.pH was 4.00,applied voltage was 3.00 V and the mass ratio of ZVI to CAC was 1:1,the phenol removal ratio could reach to 88.61%by ultrasound/electrochemical method.(3)According to the basic theory of the numerical simulation, the theoretical analysis of the single phase flow and multiphase flow in bubble flow, simulation and verification of the aeration in the reactor, the disturbance of the internal flow field of the reactor and aeration effect by aeration gas velocity,at moderate Reynolds number because the flow will produce unstable phenomenon. So the flow flow was not suitable for oxygen diffusion,in the aeration process.(4)Comparison of experimental results and theoretical basis of the simulation results, the electrochemical reaction device combined with ultrasonic technique was amplified with 1m~3as target, designed to test the corresponding electrochemical device combined with ultrasonic technique in reaction, and the 3D modeling by UGNX.(5)The experimental and simulation results show that the electrochemical combined ultrasonic technology is effective in the degradation of highly toxic organic matter and can greatly improve the biodegradability of high concentration organic wastewater and provide a good pretreatment condition for the subsequent biological treatment.
