With the continuous improvement of people's living standards and the rapid de terioration of the environment,more and more people are seeking to return to nature and return to their natural life.Under the influence of this trend,traditional plant dyes represented by "indigo" and their dyeing process are once again drawing attenti on.At the same time,handmade leather art is also more and more popular with the public,especially in hand-dyeing works which show great potential for application,dyeing process and dyeing effect is also more abundant.However,among the dyed materials of these dyed leather works,synthetic dyestuffs dominate and rare plant dyestuffs appear.The author's topic is based on the status of plant indigo dyeing and handmade leather art of the development and development of plant indigo in tanned leather leathe r dyeing research and art practice.In this paper,the current background of domestic an d foreign research on the indigo dyeing and vegetable tanned leather dyeing is analyzed.The cultural value,environmental protection significance and academic value of traditional indigo indigo leather tanning leather are discussed.And then,the indigo craft in the literature and the traditional plant indigo dyeing process investigated in Guizhou are introduced in detail.In the application of indigo dyeing,the author analyzes the representative works of three indigo dyeing artists in Japan,Taiwan and the United States and two indigo dyeing handicrafts Brand products,from the application of materials,dyeing process,pattern design,the form of work and display forms made a detailed analysis,concluded that the indigo plant in art works and handicrafts products using creative techniques and innovative ways to guide the graduation creation.In addition,the author under different dyeing conditions,including different dyeing,dyeing time,different thickness of leather tanned leather,indigo dye liquor concentration,tanned leather leather different pre-treatment methods,different methods of reducing indigo dye plant,Different dyeing conditions,plant indigo vegetabl e tanned leather dyeing experiment,through the dyeing process and data analysis to explore the effect of plant indigo on vegetable tanned leather dyeing effect,obtained by different staining results corresponding to the staining method and Factors to consider when dyeing.In addition,the reason why the indigo dyeing liquid reduced by the allelopaths and the husk was confirmed by the brown hue has been verified experimentally.Obtaining the liquid of Rubia cordifolia may be the reason of affecting the dye ing effect.Finally,in the practice of graduation creation,the author draws on the application of indigo plant indigo in the textile fabric tie-dye dyeing process,the use of plant indigo tanned leather tanned dye-dyed dyeing application,the stained vegetable tanned leather combined stitching Process used in art creation and personalized products.It is hoped that this study can play an active role in the better survival and development of our country's traditional indigo handicrafts in the new era context and provide a new direction for the transformation and regeneration of the traditional handicraft culture in the modern environment.Dyes play a role in the exploration of the use of leather.
