Sodium alginate is natural polysaccharide.It has many advantages,such as high strength,good moisture absorption and moisture retention,good biocompatibility and self flame retardancy,so it is widely used in textile and medical fields.In this project,the photochromic materials,thermochromic materials and long afterglow phosphors were added to the fibers through wet spinning,giving alginate fiber and polyvinyl alcohol fiber a series of luminous and discoloring properties.The cross section and longitudinal appearance of the fiber were observed.Through the infrared spectrum curve,the binding mode between the luminescent material and the fiber is understood.The tensile fracture strength of fibers was investigated.The influence of different mass fraction of light-emitting thermochromic materials on the mechanical properties of fibers was compared,and the photochromic properties of fibers were characterized.In this paper,the photochromic alginate fiber was first spun by wet spinning.When the mass fraction of the photochromic material was 0.3%,the fiber had a smooth appearance.The tensile strength of the fiber was 48.36 cN.The fiber's color can rapidly change under the light and faded out completely in 1min after moving away from the light source.After 20 times of lighting,the fiber discoloration efficiency did not change obviously.The experiment proved that when the thermochromic material was added to 0.2%,a good temperature and color changing effect could be obtained.The thermochromic material and alginate fiber combined with the intermolecular force.The tensile strength of 0.2% thermochromic alginate fiber was 46.22 cN,which was 7% higher than the pure alginate fibers made in the same condition.Thermochromic fibers changed from blue to white when the temperature up to 38?.Fiber can discolor quickly.There was no change in discoloration performance after the fiber was being washed for 20 times.The long afterglow luminescence material was coated with silane coupling agent and then added to the sodium alginate spinning solution.The coupling agent was combined with the alginate fiber in covalent bond.When the mass fraction of the long afterglow material is 0.8%,the tensile strength of the fiber is 35.8cN,which is 14.6% higher than the pure alginate fiber spun under the same condition.The fiber could glow more than 2hours in the dark.In the end,a photochromic polyvinyl alcohol fiber with better morphology and structure was prepared in similar method.The tensile fracture strength and discolouration property of the photochromic polyvinyl alcohol fiber were ideal.
